Goodnight Mister Tom

"The play was so good that last night I even had dreams about it", Georgia

"I loved the show so much that when I got home I could not stop talking about it", Rebecca

"I thought that Sammy was really effective as he moved exactly like a real dog", Eleanor

These were just a few of the rave reviews that Year 6 pupils gave after seeing Goodnight Mr Tom at the Phonenix Theatre in London earlier this month. The girls have been studying the popular book by Michelle Magorian in class and very much appreciated seeing it brought to life on the London stage. There was laughter, and a few tears. shed in the audience as the moving tale of WWII evacuee William Beech and elderly recluse Mister Tom was portrayed and the girls all returned to school enthusiastic to continue their work on the novel.
