Go Potty

These lovely flowers on the Junior School front steps are entries to our "Go Potty This Summer" competition, inviting girls to choose a plant that is special to them and to write a label explaining why.

There have been some great quirky responses; one girl submitted berry and mint plants, with the label "Berry good experimint".  Another entry, which was designed to attract bees, was labelled "You're pollen my leg".

Lots of younger children chose plants to attract birds and butterflies.

One Year 6 girl submitted three plants: Fern - to express sincerity, Dianthus to say "I won't forget you" and Campanula for gratitude.

These entries have exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled so many girls got involved.

All entrants received a certificate and the winners have been given some seeds and a plant which they will plant in the Early Years garden around the new Ship play equipment.
