Chartwell win House Athletics

7 July 2017

Tuesday's House Sports results were impossible to call and saw Houses rising from the bottom of one competition to the top of the next. The most incredible rise was that of Chartwell who ended the morning in last place after the House Summer Sports. With true Wally spirit Chartwell came out in the afternoon for House Athletics undeterred and stormed to the top of the leader board with outstanding performance following outstanding performance.

The ever popular House high jump drew its usual crowds. One-by-one the competitors failed to reach a new height until only Knole House Captain Emily and Chartwell Year 10 Vita remained. The tense final rounds ended in Vita out jumping Emily and going on to achieve a final jump only 2cms short of Annabel Jackson's 148cm School record.

Final House Athletics scores were:

6th place - Penshurst

5th place - Down

4th place - Quebec

3rd place - Montreal

2nd place - Knole

1st place - Chartwell

Many thanks to all of the competitors and supporters and to the PE Department for a fantastic day of House Sport.
