Carol Service

13 December 2012

The annual candle lit service of lessons and carols at Tonbridge School Chapel provided a beautiful conclusion to our Christmas celebrations yesterday evening. Parents, staff and students were enchanted by performances including Elizabeth Brightwell-Gibbons playing Evelyn Glennie's A Little Prayer on the marimba, the Chamber Choir singing John Rutter's arrangements of Quem Pastores Laudavere and Lute-Book Lullaby and the Wally Singers' performances of Steal Away to Jesus, I Sing of a Maiden and Ding Dong! Merrily on High.

A retiring collection was taken for PLAN's Because I am a Girl campaign to keep teenage girls in education in developing countries and Lifeblood, the thrombosis charity founded by old girl Professor Beverley Hunt.
