Netball Goals Galore

It's been raining netball goals at Wally Hall in the last week.

Last Thursday, the U15s scored a staggering 72 goals in only two matches. In an early afternoon fixture they beat Benenden 42 -11 in the School Sport Magazine Cup round. They followed this up with a 30 - 13 win against Bennett Memorial later in the afternoon.

The U14s then rounded off the day, winning their match against Bennett 33 -4.

On Friday, 54 Wally Hall U13, U14 and U15/16 netballers travelled to Condover for a weekend tournament where they played 64 matches, winning an incredible 50, drawing 2 and loosing only 8 (4 of which were were Wally v Wally games!)

To top it all off the U16s yesterday scored 103 goals to win their section at Kent Schools, this takes them through to Nationals alongside their U19 peers who have already qualified.

The Netball doesn't end there though as we have two more teams heading off to their Kent Schools competitions before the week is out.

U15 Walthamstow Hall v Benenden, School Sport magazine Cup, round match, October 6th A very busy day for the U15 netballers yesterday with a lunchtime fixture against Benenden in the Sport Magazine Cup and an after school match versus Bennett Memorial.

The Benenden match was fast and furious with the U15's taking an 11-1 lead after the first quarter. The team grew in confidence and continued to increase their lead winning by 31 goals. The final result was 42-11. Well done to Kitty Matson, Merys Daniels and Scarlet Collins for playing up with the U15s in this match.

U15 Walthamstow Hall v Bennett Memorial, October 6thThe U15 match against Bennett saw the team continue their goal scoring fever winning 30-13. Player of the match was Isabella Childs.

U14 Walthamstow Hall v Bennett Memorial, October 6thThe U14's played Bennett and raced off to a staggering 23-0 lead at half time. The second half saw the team play versatility after having the bibs handed out randomly. The final result was 33-4. Player of the match was Kitty Matson.

Condover Tournament October 7th - 8th
A great weekend was had by the 54 girls who travelled to Condover for a weekend of netball. The matches where played over Saturday and Sunday. In total we played 64 matches winning 50 drawing 2 and  loosing 8,  4  other mathes were Wally v Wally games.

U16 Kent Schools' Tournament, October 11th 2016

The U16 netball team played in the Kent Schools' tournament yesterday and had some very convincing wins against, Sydenham 21-1, Rochester Grammar 20-1 and Wilmington Girls Grammar school 21-3. They played 8 matches winning 7 and drawing 1 against Kent College Pembury, in a very closely fought match. The team scored 103 goals and had 30 goals against them. The U16's won their section and now join the U19's in the Kent Schools Finals next month.
