Mrs Jayne Adams BA (Joint Hons)

Jayne Adams joined the Governing Body in 2009 and became Chairman in January 2015. She was educated at Edinburgh Academy and the University of Durham, where she read French and Italian. After graduation, Jayne worked as a conference organiser in the UK and abroad before completing a law conversion course and diploma at the College of Law, Guildford, Jayne joined Bircham Dyson Bell LLP in Westminster as a trainee solicitor in 2001 and spent more than ten years at the firm, practising charity law. She is now a partner in law firm McCarthy Denning, advising charities of all shapes and sizes on charity law, governance and practice, as well as running her own consultancy, Lupus Lex Limited. She came to know Walthamstow Hall through her work and is delighted to serve on the Governing Body. Jayne is also a trustee of UK Friends of the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
